Louis Bourque has always been close to the people. During his thirty years pastorate at Église Baptiste Évangélique de Terrebonne- Mascouche, he participated in seven Church plants. Training eight workers for the ministry is what gave him the greatest joy during his pastoral years.
Very intuitive and possessing great relational skills, Louis Bourque informally specialized in coaching during his pastoral ministry. God placed in his path several protégés in whom he had the opportunity to invest himself. Realizing that some of his strategies worked better than others, he felt the desire to understand the reasons behind his successes and failures. Because he wanted to adapt his coaching style to each protégé, he completed a D. Min in Leadership at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 2017.
Realizing that he was at a turning point in his life, Louis passed on the Church leadership to one of his protégés in order to devote himself entirely to a ministry towards pastors. Another one of his great qualities is his ability to connect with people of all generations. Thus, at the dawn of this new season of life, he accepted the position of Executive Director of AEBEQ, which allows him to apply his leadership skills toward a greater number of people in view of the expansion of the Kingdom of God in Québec. for him, it is important that elders and Church leaders develop their ability to work in teams as well as build skills necessary to train qualified leaders.
